This statement was obligatrory vor every des slaves of the Bey of Tunis. at night the slaves had to be ready at all times to be mounted by the Bey of Tunis - of course always with a smile on their faces.

Unfortunately, the mounting of many slaves took place far too seldom. The Bey had his favorite slaves. Besides, he often didn't feel like it because he was already over 50. He often had to work overtime until late at night.
